Barrow Growing "Spring Festival" - 31.03.2012

Congratulations to Barrow Growing / Barrow Chnmt for organising what was a most enjoyable event. An estimated 125 visitors to Barrow Growing Spring Festival enjoyed; hot food from Hartleys Dalton, music from the Barrow Steelworks Band and stalls from Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Barrow Horticultural Society, Junior Wardens and a seed swap stand.

Ensuring correct procedures are followed

Barrow Borough Council Environmental Health Officer Damon Pearson ensuring the correct procedures are followed during construction and confirming the validation process requirements with Groundwork Landscape architect John Nuttall and Richard Lote from Meridian Geoscience.

The supplier is required to provide soil to BS3882/2007 standard. Once delivered Meridian Geoscience will take a sample of the soil for testing to ensure the soil conform to BS 3882/2007.
