Peoples Health Trust grant success

Marsh Street Arches and Garden CIC are very pleased to confirm that have been awarded a grant by People’s Health Trust using money raised by Healthable Community Interest Company through The Health Lottery.

Our voluntary Project Coordinator Graham Bromley said “This very generous grant award will help us expand our work in the community with people of all ages and abilities and enable us to provide a diverse range of horticulture based training workshop sessions. These workshops would include; growing your own food, seed propagation, harvesting and storing crops, composting, gardening for wildlife, foraging and cook and eat sessions. Our training programme will aim to make growing a fun, social activity and a great way to meet others in the community”

Quote for the week.....

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumoured by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” - Buddha
