Concerns as ice continues to form on Greengate Street bridge structure

Ice continues to form from water seeping through at various high position on the structure of Greengate Street bridge between marsh Street and the railway line..

As the water seeping through the structure begins at a high level (3.5 metres to 4 metres plus above ground level, just below the level of the road surface/pavement above) it is suggested that in all likelihood, the source of the water could potentially be from a leaking road surface or road drains on Greengate Street.

We would like to thank Network Rail and Cumbria County Council who are trying to help resolve this issue.
