Chalara dieback of ash

Chalara die back of ash is a serious disease of ash trees caused by a fungus called Chalara fraxinea. The disease causes leaf loss and crown die back in affected trees, often leading to tree death.  The disease could potentially devastate the population of Britain's native ash trees. If you have any concerns or suspect a tree may be infected the Forestry Commission have produce a short video which may help you to identify the symptoms.
